Terms and Conditions
Last updated: July 2026
1. About us
These terms apply to all dealings with Floorwise NZ (“Floorwise”, “we”, “us”) including quotes, orders, supply and installation of flooring products. By placing an order or requesting a quote you agree to these terms.
2. Quotes
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on information provided by the customer. Variations in site conditions may affect the final price.
A quote is not a contract until confirmed in writing by Floorwise.
Prices are in New Zealand Dollars and exclude GST unless stated otherwise.
3. Orders and payment
A 70% deposit will be required before work commences. Details will be stated on your quote.
Full payment is due 7 days on completion of installation unless a trade account has been established.
Trade account invoices are due by the 20th of the month following invoice.
Floorwise reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts at 2% per month.
4. Supply and installation
Product colours and patterns may vary slightly from samples due to batch variations.
The customer is responsible for ensuring floors are clean, dry and level prior to installation.
Floorwise is not liable for damage caused by pre-existing subfloor issues not disclosed at the time of quote.
Installation will be carried out by qualified installers. Access to the premises must be provided at the agreed time.
5. Cancellations and returns
Special-order products cannot be returned or refunded once ordered.
Cancellations must be made in writing before materials are ordered.
Restocking fees 30% apply for cancellations of standard stock orders.
Faulty products will be remedied in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
6. Warranty
Product warranties are provided by the manufacturer and vary by product. Installation workmanship is warranted for 12 months from the date of completion. Warranties are void if the flooring is subjected to conditions outside of the manufacturer’s specifications.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Floorwise’s liability is limited to the cost of the goods or services supplied. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or damage to other property.
